Welcome to the Transylvania Leadership Society

In 2008, Transylvania University started a chapter of Sigma Alpha Pi National Leadership Society on campus.  Based on student feedback, the society developed into a local leadership society, utilizing the unique resources available to the Transylvania community.  All inducted members of Transylvania's Sigma Alpha Pi are now members of the Transylvania Leadership Society.

Elements of TLS

Students may apply for membership until November 10, 2010.

To become an inducted member of TLS, candidates must complete the following:

    Apply for membership at by visiting the TLS Membership Application Site

    Attend a one time TLS Orientation, November 10, 7:30 pm in the Campus Center Canteen

    Pay the one time $35.00 membership fee

    Attend 6 TLS Certified Leadership Events

    Complete 6 hours of Community Service

    Record your accomplishments and submit them as your application for induction 

If you began your application for induction in 2008-2009


All candidates who began their application for  induction into Sigma Alpha Pi are now candidates for the Transylvania Leadership Society; they will not have to pay any further fees, and any actions counting toward induction will qualify for application for induction into Transylvania Leadership Society.

We encourage you to continue your application for induction.  Unfortunately, the Success Networking Team meetings will not transfer, and you will need to complete the new criteria (attend a new orientation, complete service component, and create a new application) but you will not have to pay any additional fees.  When you create your new application for induction, simply indicate the presentations you attended in 2008-2009.  They will count toward your qualifications for induction.
